A boy and his dog..

Lincoln's favorite word (and most understandable word at the moment) is "dog" -- which he says any time he (1) sees Major (2) hears Major's name (3) wants to see Major (4) thinks he sees Major (5) looks outside in the backyard or (6) sees a picture of a dog in a book. He also enjoys feeding Major from his highchair (a habit we are trying to break him of) and "chasing" Major all over the house, crawling as fast as he can go. He doesn't seem to mind a bit when Major licks him in the face...which, is unfortunately, a constant despite my nagging at the dog. Hopefully what they say about dog's mouths is true....or sort-of true.

Play time with Jackson

Jackson came over the other night (along w/ his parents) to play and watch the Olympics. Of course, the Olympics weren't exactly a priority for them...playing in the ball pit was more exciting. They were funny playing side by side and occasionally taking a toy away from the other. We are all looking forward to watching the boys grow up together!

Linc enjoys time with his cousins

In early July, Lincoln enjoyed some time with his cousins Ana, Maddux, and Gaines (as well as Mya, Riley, Carter, and Morgan...not pictured :) up in Michigan.

Mexico and Linc's new toy

My mom came down and kept Linc for a week so Andrew and I could go with the sophomores and juniors to Mexico on a mission trip. He and my mom had a great time, and created some precious memories. Andrew and I missed him like crazy, but had a great trip. A few photos are below; the trip was a lot of manual labor! But our kids were amazing - they worked so hard, and had great attitudes, as most of the days were wet and muddy. I've also attached a video of Linc playing with his favorite new toy, a truck, courtesy of my mom. He loves all of the sounds that it makes, and just yesterday learned how to turn the key to make the engine "start." He giggles everytime he does it. Besides playing with his truck, his other favorite activity is to try and eat Major's dog food and turn over the water bowl...we have decided he has selective retention of what the word "no" means...he seems to understand it for just about everything BESIDES the dog food and water bowl :)

Captain Leeser

Brandon (aka Captain Leeser) stopped by Houston on his way back to Tennessee following Officer Basic Course in San Antonio. We are really proud of him, and wish him the best as he starts his dental career at Fort Campbell.
